We are so excited to announce that this weekend is our annual "Block Fest Weekend" this August 4th - August 6th.
Organized by the Caz Life www.cazenovialife.com in their role with the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce www.cazenovia.com we are beyond excited to feature so many fun events in and around Cazenovia for the whole family to enjoy.
Friday, August 4th:
The soft-launch so to speak of the weekend. We are kicking off with sidewalk sales in the downtown shops and brining the community together with a drum circle at Lakeland Park. Drums will be available for those who don't have them. And feel free to visit www.cazarts.com for more details.
Saturday, August 5th:
This day is all about the adults! There will be LIVE music from Southy's Keys www.facebook.com/SouthyShearer on Lincklaen Street. Du Passi (Linklaen St) will also be sponsoring a Pizza Fritte tasting starting at 11:30AM. Over at 20 I East (Albany St) Chef Brian will be offering food samples as well! Other vendors include Farley's Fairy Hair and custom knives by North Sea Workshops. And if you haven't seen the latest trend of permanent jewelry, there will be live creations from Square Marble.
The live music continues at 12:00PM at Critz Farms www.critzfarms.com for their Blueberry Jam. Bands will be playing on their back lawn all day and all night -- so be sure to stop over there for some great tunes, fantastic beers, and great grub!
At 12:30PM Owera Vineyards www.oweravineyards.com will be setting up on Main Street to host a complimentary wine tasting to the public. Come check out their fabulous new offerings! Also - at 12:30PM Shred-Fest kicks off at Community Bank (Albany Street) where they will be offering complimentary document shredding services to the public. Clear out that office of all your old paperwork!
Finish your night at the Madison County Distillery (Route 20) for our official welcome party. Music by the Fab Cats starts at 7pm, and we will end the night with great local beverages, yard games and more!
Sunday, August 6th:
Start your day with lakeside "Yoga on the docks" at The Brewster Inn. Your $20 ticket is good for an hour yoga session, and a Bloody Mary or mimosa at the bar following the session! RSVP online at www.thebrewsterinnn.com/upcomingevents
Once you have started your day with calm and serenity -- here comes the fun! Head on down to Lakeside Park for our "Party in the Park" which is fun for all ages! Bring a lawn chair and camp out for "The Ponytail James Band"www.ponytailjames.com There will be plenty of great snacking options including food from the masonic lodge, ice cream from Nelson Creamery, and Greek favorites from Kalamata Pita. We will have the family friendly zone set up with a bounce house, petting zoo, kids games, and even a karate presentation!
