She paints in every medium, on any surface, but prefers the permanence of porcelain, as the oils are fired into the glaze. Her own art deco and Celtic knot designs are popular, as well as any subject that people commission. Pet portraits are a large portion of her annual business and her passion for architecture also plays a part in much of her work. Dave Eichorn is probably best known locally as a meteorologist on WSYR TV, but through his entire weather casting career, Dave had also been designing and making furniture. He began making furniture in the early 1980s, at first building simple shaker-style pieces (beds, desks, dressers and tables) but as time went on his pieces became more complex evolving to a blend of relatively rustic and contemporary style pieces. Dave’s furniture is uniquely constructed from domestic central New York hardwoods and rare and exotic wood from around the world he acquired in the 1970s and 1980s. The result is a unique and pleasantly contrasting style that conforms to any décor. Dave will be selling keepsake boxes, cutting boards, serving trays and other gifts for the holidays. Dave’s work is routinely on display and for sale at Cazenovia Artisans. EichornWoodworking.com
