One Month Away - Open Farm Day on July 29th

Open Farm Day is back for 2023! We absolutely love this annual event -- its a unique opportunity to experience the robust agricultural industry of our community! Many of us don't may visit the weekly farmer's market on the village green, but rarely do we get to see exactly what it takes to maintain a working farm in today's climate.

But on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10am to 4pm the community is invited to "peer behind the curtain" so to speak! Farms from all over Madison County are opening their doors to the public! The official 2023 Passport of participating farms will be available for download shortly but until then, we know of three fantastic farms from Cazenovia that will be participating!

  • Critz Farms is an award winning agritourism business located just south of Cazenovia. Family owned and operated, this diversified farm also operates the Critz Farms Brewing & Cider Co. offering handcrafted beer and cider from crops grown on the farm. Open to visitors March to December, the farm features a variety of activities and events including pick your own apples, pumpkins, blueberries, and Christmas trees. The farm also produces maple syrup, sweet apple cider, and holiday wreaths in season. On Open Farm Day, enjoy live music, food trucks, wagon rides, berry picking and guided tours of the cider mill, sugar house, and brewery/cidery. Visit the tap room, gift shop, animals, and playgrounds too. www.critzfarms.com
