Take A Second Look! The Key - Downtown's Beloved Consignment Shop

When was the last time you poked your head into The Key at 66 Albany Street?

They are a hidden gem of Cazenovia's retail scene! As a fundraising extension of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, The Key accepts clean, neat, gently used or new seasonal clothing, footwear, purses, hats, jewelry, and accessories. Additionally they accept housewares, small appliances, rugs and lamps regularly.

Each week an email is sent out to account holders as to what items are needed. This ensures that there is a well-rounded selection of clothing and home goods in stock all year round. This collection is curated by their in-house team of appraisers. Each item is inspected for flaws and then priced to offer a great return for the consigner and a great value for the customer.

Show Me The Goods!

The inventory is ever-revolving here, so it is best to stop in, and stop in frequently!

Remember upstairs is all women's clothing and accessories, so be sure to venture downstairs for men's clothing and home items.

Or, pro-tip -- check their social media for hot finds as they arrive in store. www.instagram.com/thekeycazenovia

They even have a $1 rack! These are items are a big bargain and still deserve a good home!

Want To Get Involved?

There are many ways to get involved including volunteering! Volunteers are generally scheduled for no more than a 2-3 hour shift.

Due to the fast pace nature of our store, each shift will consist of a variety of tasks that will be coordinated by the Manager, Dolli Relyea.

These tasks include:

  • Merchandizing clothing racks

  • Creating attractive displays throughout the store

  • Tagging merchandise

  • Working between the two levels of the store
